With the release of iOS 10, Apple has taken the next big step in further enhancing its operating system for iPhone and iPad. Indeed, we are excited about all the numerous new features and improvements, but what truly thrills us is HomeKit. With iOS 10, HomeKit is finally an integral part of iOS, to such a degree that it is accessible via the Control Center. And of course, Eve and Eve products are made for iOS 10. In addition, Apple now offers users another way to control their connected home – with the app called Home.
Today’s firmware upgrade for Eve Thermo marks the completion of our series of upgrades for all Eve devices. Easy to install via the Eve app, it offers significantly faster connection and switching times for Eve Thermo, in addition to general performance enhancements and bug fixes. All Eve devices with upgraded firmware are fully compatible with the Home app in Apple’s upcoming iOS 10. After the firmware upgrade, Eve Thermo’s function for frost protection is activated, no matter if “Mode” is set to “on” or “off“ in Eve for Eve Thermo.
