It is only since iOS 10 that Apple offers the Home app as an interface for HomeKit-enabled accessories – an alternative to apps developed by other manufacturers, including Elgato’s Eve app. Another interface to HomeKit is Siri, a simple and interactive tool that enables you to control your connected home with voice commands via your iPhone, iPad, fourth-generation Apple TV, and Apple Watch.
Using the Eve app, you have access to all Apple-supported HomeKit data such as temperature, humidity, and on/off status, as well as additional information not available via Siri — air pressure, recent energy usage, historical data, and more.

While the Elgato Eve app permits complete control of Eve accessories, the Apple Home app offers exclusive functions that cannot be replicated by other HomeKit-enabled apps, including Eve.

And, with Apple TV 4 Siri Remote, you can control everything with your voice, including your HomeKit-enabled home – even without the new TV app.
